Embarking on the Pillones Waterfalls Tour is a unique opportunity to connect with the natural beauty of Arequipa’s highlands. Surrounded by majestic rock formations and the soothing sound of cascading water, this full-day tour offers not only stunning landscapes but also a peaceful atmosphere ideal for photography, meditation, and exploration. Whether you’re a nature enthusiast or a traveler in search of hidden gems, the Pillones Waterfalls Tour promises a memorable experience in the heart of Peru.

Pillones Waterfalls | Nature Tour in Arequipa

  • The tour starts with the pick up from the respective hotels between 6 to 6:20AM. With the tourist transportation.
  • Then we will go to the Pillones Waterfall, the trip will last 2 hours until the beginning of the hike.
  • On the way we will make a first stop in the village of Pampa de Arrieros. This village was once a stop for travelers entering Arequipa by train.
  • 10:30AM we will arrive at the trekking point, we will get ready with the proper information from our professional guide.
  • The descent hike will take us about 30 to 40 minutes, some sections with degrees of difficulty to reach the waterfall pillones.
  • The path is steep between rocks on one side of the river to the waterfall.
  • Once we get there you will have enough time for about 45 minutes to take pictures.
  • Afterwards we will return to the parking lot to continue to the forest of stones.
  • 12:30PM We will start the tour to get to the Imata Stone Forest.
  • After about 30 minutes we will arrive at the forest of stones of Imata where we will be an average of 40 minutes to be able to take all the pictures.
  • Afterwards we will have lunch in the village of Imata and then return to Arequipa.
  • 3PM departure back to the white city of Arequipa, arrival time about 5PM. End of the tour near the main square.
