Our Itinerary
Cusco → Cusipata → Palcoyo → Cusipata → CuscoPalcoyo Rainbow Mountain Tour: A Peaceful Andean Hike with Qatawi Tours Perú
- The excursion starts with the pick up from the hotel between 4:00 to 4:30 AM, in the tourist transport we will go to the southeast of Cusco.
- The trip will be 1 hour and 30 minutes to the village of Cusipata for breakfast.
- The second part of the trip in our mobility will be 1 hour and 30 minutes more until 4700 m.a.s.l. (15419 feet), the beginning of the trek.
- After receiving the indications of our professional guide, we start walking.
- The hiking distance is 2 kilometers and it will take 30 to 40 minutes slightly flat.
- Along the way we will have short stops to take pictures with the llamas and alpacas, as well as the landscape and the mountains that can be seen in the distance.
- There are several viewpoints near the colorful mountains.
- You will have the necessary time for the guide’s explanations and the respective photographs.
- About 20 minutes uphill you will find the stone forest at 5100 m.a.s.l. (16732 ft.).
- This option is highly recommended to complete the experience and the panoramic view will be more than incredible.
- The return is very easy up to the parking lot.
- Then, the return to the town of Cusipata to enjoy a buffet lunch.
- Finally, the return trip to Cusco and arrival will be between 4:00 to 5:00 PM.
