Description
This is an unforgettable excursion through an adventure on the coast of Peru. This trip consists of several unique activities where you will discover the natural wonders of the Ballestas Islands, an exotic paradise of marine life and coastal birds in their own natural habitat. We will sail between cliffs to contemplate sea lions, penguins and cormorants in their life and environment.
Then, live the adventure in the wonderful atmosphere of the Huacachina Oasis in the middle of the desert that amazes locals and strangers. Also of the golden sand dunes and experience the adrenaline in a buggy ride through the sand hills. In the same way take advantage of sandboarding in the dunes and then appreciate the beautiful sunset.
BALLESTAS ISLANDS OF PARACAS
The famous Ballestas Islands are located about 30 minutes by boat from the coast of Paracas. To be more precise, one hour from the city of Ica by car plus 30 minutes by boat and 260 kilometers south of Lima.
The Ballestas Islands are a group of islands made up of rocky formations where a great variety of marine fauna can be found, with guano birds such as the guanay, the piquero and mainly the zarcillo. They also highlight the sea lions and other species.
HUACACHINA OASIS IN ICA
The Huacachina Lagoon is an oasis located 5 kilometers west of the city of Ica. Exactly in the middle of the coastal desert. The emerald green water arose due to causes of the outcrop of subway currents, where abundant vegetation has been concentrated, as well as; palm trees, eucalyptus and carob trees known as guarango that serve as shelter and rest for migratory birds that often pass through this area.

Ballestas Islands and Huacachina – Adventure and Nature Tour
- 4am We start with the pick up from the hotels in Miraflores or also at the meeting point in the RAMBLA.
- Departure in our tourist transport to the south of Lima, the trip will take 3 hours to Paracas.
- In Paracas you will have 30 to 40 minutes for breakfast.
- 9am Departure to the Ballestas Islands excursion, we will approach the boarding pier for our check in.
- After receiving the life vest and the indications of the guide we will start with the adventure to the Ballestas Islands.
- The tour will take between an hour and a half to 2 hours.
- During the excursion we will see the candelabra that was a geoglyph similar to the Nasca lines.
- Among the rock formations we will also see the face of Christ, the marine fauna, pelicans, sea lions, Humboldt penguins and other species.
- Then we will return to the Paracas Bay to take pictures at the beach.
- Then we will continue our one hour trip to the city of Ica for lunch.
- 1PM Approximately we will visit a wine cellar to taste the different types of wine, pisco, pisco cream and some macerates for a toast with famous and funny phrases.
- 2PM, after this fun experience we will head to the beautiful HUACACHINA oasis in the middle of the desert surrounded by dunes and palm trees, eucalyptus and guarango.
- We will have time for adrenaline activities with the tubulars and sandboarding on the sand dunes.
- Finally return to Lima between 5 to 5:3pm. The trip will last approximately 4 hours.
- End of the RAMBLA tour in Miraflores.
