Description of Machu Picchu
The Machu Picchu full day tour is a full day program, which allows you to enjoy from the moment you get on the train following the course of the Urubamba River to the town of Aguas Calientes. During the activity you will enjoy nature, archaeology, history and culture.
116 km from the city of Cusco is the wonder of the world Machu Picchu, now a World Heritage Site, recognized by UNESCO in 1983. The Inca sanctuary of Machu Picchu was built on the batholith of the Vilcabamba mountain range and is characterized by being located on rugged terrain of high relief with steep slopes. Machu Picchu was made known to the world by the American explorer Hiram Bingham in 1911. Our tour starts from Cusco, on the way to Machu Picchu you will see exuberant flora and fauna, characteristic of the high jungle.

Cusco → Ollantaytambo → Aguas Calientes → Machu Picchu → CuscoMachu Picchu Full Day | 1 Day Tour from Cusco
- The pick up starts from the hotel in tourist transport for a 2 hour trip approx. to Ollantaytambo station, it should be considered 30 minutes before the departure of the train.
- From Ollantaytambo, the trip continues by tourist train following the course of the Urubamba River to the town of Aguas Calientes for approximately 2 hours.
- Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, our guide from Qatawi Tours will be waiting for you at the train station to go to the tourist bus station.
- The bus ride takes about 25 minutes to Machu Picchu to have the guided tour for about 2 hours.
- According to the circuit that corresponds our professional tour guide begins with detailed information about the historic sanctuary of Machu Picchu.
- After the guided tour we will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes and you will have time for lunch and visit the town.
- According to the train departure time we will go to the station to board the train back to Ollantaytambo and from there by tourist transport to Cusco.
